Hello, world!

This simple act materializes a long-held dream. For a long time I’ve wanted us to show the world more of what we do, to show who we are.

Nareia is a company of Uruguayan origin but already international, born with the dream of creating the best place to work in software engineering. And over time, but also almost by definition, that pursuit became a utopia to follow, creating and evolving a particular philosophy as an organization, making mistakes and learning just like life itself; but there are no words that can precisely express all its peculiarities and characteristics, which is why showing moments from day-to-day life, different experiences of this work community, will be a beautiful way to get closer to its definition, allowing each reader to build it themselves.

Each author will bring their own style, distancing us from industry recommendations with tone of voice as an essential base, but not because we’re against it — in fact, we promote strategy in various product-building activities — but so that there can be different perspectives, without biases, from those who live Nareia.

We want to publish content that is of interest to society in general, but also for particular groups of readers, like technical topics. So here you’ll find diversity: long articles but also short ones, super focused on aspects close to the bits but also more open, where we’ll diverge and converge.

And without further ado, but with deep emotion, I inaugurate this space welcoming you to make it your own and saying to the four winds: “hello, world”!
